three new videos on http://savevenice.net/avi : one, accompanied by the harp of Alexander Bonivento, introduces the problem and its main causes, the second is dedicated to the crumbling of one of Venetian main monuments: the Ca' d'Oro.
This building is a summa of the Gothic style, a renowned milestone in the world’s history of Art. The movie shows how a pound of marble from this monument crumbles under the light pressure of my finger.
The images carry the sole commentary of a vocalism by the soprano Rosemary Forbes-Butler.

The third movie shows a walk across the sestiere of Santa Croce. This one is quite long (over 6 minutes) and heavy (39 Mb); the music is by Alexander Bonivento).

The movie of the dramatic walk across the sestiere of Dorsoduro has been updated through the area of the Madonna della Salute. In the previous version this movie was crossing the border of the sestiere of San Polo and Santa Croce: now those scenes, including those of Basilica dei Frari, are moved in the projects for those sestiere.

On the bureaucratic side, Patrizia Bortot and I we have met a secretary of the Major: after 15 days from presenting our formal request for a meeting, it was not even possible to communicate it to the Major.
This is tragically funny. I mean: it would be easier to receive a “deny of service”, something like “Dear Sir, your request was examined and the question found not relevant”; or “The danger you are pointing out has been examined and measures are been taken”.
Nothing like that: officially, 15 days after the signaling of such a peril for the city, the secretary of the Major was not even able to advice the Major himself.
At least this can be called inefficiency! See Venezia ObServer article: “L’Efficienza del Gabinetto del Sindaco”.

Nearly three months passed, now, and we have got no news from the Major’s office.

We have had, in the main time, a meeting with Assessore all’Ambiente, who was more sensible to the problem, and promised to set up tools to measure the sulphuric pollution around town. As well two months have been passing but no other communication from that office.

Il Gazzettino, main local newspaper, started a campaign on the looting of “masegni”. It also dedicated an article to our site, publishing the names of the members of the Venice Defence Committee as former of the Public Health Committee, which is not true. The errata corrige letter I sent them was not published.

Members of this last Committee are not yet public; we will probably disclose them around next spring, when our sensibilization campaign will transform in an informative one.

At the moment a restyling of savevenice.net main page was done to mark the difference between the two committees.

Tre nuovi video su http://savevenice.net/avi : il primo, accompagnato dall’ arpa di Alexander Bonivento, presenta il problema e le sue cause, l’altro è dedicato allo sgretolamento di uno dei principali monumenti veneziani: la Ca’ d’Oro.
Questo edificio è una summa dello stile gotico, una rinomata pietra miliare nella storia dell’Arte mondiale. Il filmato mostra il distaccarsi di alcuni ettogrammi di marmo del monumento sotto la lieve pressione delle mie dita.
Le immagini sono accompagnate da un vocalismo della soprano Rosemary Forbes-Butler.

Il terzo film mostra una passeggiata nel sestiere di Santa Croce. È musicato da Alexander Bonivento e piuttosto lungo (oltre 6 minuti) e pesante(39 Mb).

Il film della drammatica passeggiata nel sestiere di Dorsoduro è stato aggiornato anche all’area della Chiesa della Madonna della Salute. Nella versione precedente questo filmato sconfinava nei sestieri di Santa Croce e San Polo; adesso quelle scene sono passate nei progetti relativi a quei sestieri.

Dal lato burocratico, Patrizia Bortot e io abbiamo incontrato un segretario del Sindaco: a 15 giorni dalla nostra richiesta di appuntamento, non era ancora stato possibile comunicarla al Sindaco. Tragicamente divertente.

Avrei compreso un rifiuto, qualcosa come: “Egregi signori, la vostra richiesta è stata esaminata e trovata irrilevante”; oppure: “ il pericolo che segnalate è stato esaminato e si stanno approntando misure adeguate”.
Niente del genere: ufficialmente, 15 giorni dopo la segnalazione di un simile pericolo per la città, il segretario del sindaco non era nemmeno stato capace di avvertire il sindaco stesso.

Come minimo direi che è una dimostrazione di inefficienza! Vedete a riguardo l’articolo in Venezia ObServer: “L’Efficienza del Gabinetto del Sindaco”.
Sono passati quasi tre mesi, adesso, e non abbiamo avuto alcuna nuova notizia dal gabinetto del sindaco.

Nel frattempo abbiamo però incontrato l’Assessore all’Ambiente, che è sembrato più sensibile al problema, e ha promesso di far installare strumenti per la misurazione dell’inquinamento solforico qui in città. A due mesi dall’incontro, ancora nessuna novità.

Il Gazzettino, principale quotidiano locale, ha iniziato una campagna sul saccheggio dei “masegni”. Ha anche dedicato un articolo al nostro sito, pubblicando i nomi dei membri del Comitato Spontaneo per la Difesa di Venezia come membri anche del Comitato di Salute Pubblica a Venezia, il che non corrisponde al vero. La lettera di rettifica che ho inviato non è stata pubblicata.

I membri del Comitato di Salute Pubblica non sono ancora stati resi pubblici; probabilmente lo saranno nella prossima primavera, quando la nostra campagna di sensibilizzazione diverrà campagna informativa.

Intanto ho operato alcune modifiche sulla home page di savevenice.net per marcare la differenza tra i due Comitati.
